People want to see land, water, and biodiversity looked after in a way that respects Aboriginal custodianship.
Improve cultural understanding
There’s a strong call for genuine engagement, education, and making sure Aboriginal perspectives are truly included in decisions.
Respect sacred sites and cultural landscapes
We’ve heard how important it is to identify, protect, and avoid disturbing places of cultural significance.
Handle artefacts with respect
The community wants cultural materials to be carefully managed, stored securely, or returned where appropriate.
Long-term protection
People want measures that help ensure cultural heritage is looked after well beyond the life of the project.
